The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University is a leading institute for humanities research in Taiwan. The research conducted by its faculty and students is grounded in society and is intended to serve society in return. In the era of rapidly advancing AI technologies, the department is also actively pursuing diverse and groundbreaking research initiatives. However, the continuation of these efforts depends on the support of donations.

This fund is used to support academic and teaching purposes, including subsidies for faculty and students to participate in international conferences; research projects; invitations for scholars to visit Taiwan; the organization of academic events; the hiring of student assistants; the production of instructional video materials; article processing charges for open-access journal publications; the purchase of books; subscriptions to journals and databases; the appointment of part-time instructors; fieldwork and field research; departmental academic publications; and theatrical performances.
