The Graduate Institute of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University welcomes prospective international students.
The MA and PhD programs focus on English and American literatures, comparative literature, and related disciplines. Through a wide range of seminars, visiting speakers, and other academic events, students in our Institute are engaged with some of the most pressing issues in the discipline of literary and cultural studies today.
To apply to our MA Program, you need to prepare the following documents:
- Proof (diploma) of highest degree
- Original copy of all university transcripts
- A Statement of Purpose in English (no more than 800 words)
- Two recommendation letters from former professors
- Introductory video:please introduce yourself and discuss your research interests in English in no more than 10 minutes (upload the video file to Youtube and provide the link)
- A Research Paper in litearay or cultural studies (written in English)
- An English proficiency certificate showing that the applicant meets CEFR B2 level
- CV (no more than 2 pages)
