Students who need to retake or make up Oral Training (I) for Academic Year 115 should fill out the form below to register for the placement test.

The Oral Training (I) placement test will be held during the first week of the AY115 semester or the week before classes begin (the exact date will be announced separately).

If you need to make up or retake Oral Training (I) in the new academic year, please submit your application by August 14th using the following form: https://forms.gle/tDhkpHkqfzKghwMR8

Please Note: Incoming first-year students of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures for AY114 will be directly added to the test roster by the department office, so they don’t need to register via the system mentioned above. This registration system is for students who are retaking/making up the course, double majoring, minoring in linguistics, transferring departments, transferring universities, or pursuing the English Teaching Program.

Students intending to take this course are responsible for ensuring their availability during all Oral Training (I) class hours before course selection. This is to ensure that once the Oral Training (I) placement results are finalized, all students can be uniformly assigned to their designated sections. Please check the class times for all Oral Training (I) sections online before selecting courses.  After the roster is announce, if you would like to swap due to schedule conflict, please fill out Mutual Section Exchange Request. The department office will assist in matching students of the same proficiency level on a first-come, first-served basis. Please understand that a successful swap is not guaranteed. If no match is found, please proceed with your original placement to avoid the necessity of retaking the oral proficiency exam in the following academic year.

If you have any questions, please contact the Department Office at (02-3366-3215).
