The “Deleuze and Guattari Studies in Asia Conference” is going to be held in Taiwan again after over a decade. While humans altered the world with technology culminating in the Anthropocene, we may be entering into what may be aptly termed the “Technocene.” Hence, it is urgent to reexamine “technology” both as subject-like objects and as machines as defined by Gilles Deleuze and Pierre-Félix Guattari. How to make technology a partner of humanity without obscuring or even cutting off the pulse of life is the greatest challenge for humanity at the present moment. This conference will investigate the intersections of Technology and Life in the lengthening shadow of the Anthropocene.
